Sandwiches and Burgers
Truly, you can never have too many creative ways to use up those Turkey Day leftovers. Eating cold turkey and potatoes for a week just isn’t appealing to most of us.
So, how do you fool your family into happily eating Thanksgiving leftovers? Or just interested in making a delicious, Thanksgiving-inspired sandwich? Try this recipe. It’s yummy and looks nothing like your Thanksgiving dinner.
2 slices bread (whatever you have sitting around the house is just fine)
Warmed roast turkey breast
1 tablespoon cranberry sauce
3 strips bacon, cooked crispy but not burned
1 lettuce leaf
1 slice tomato
1 tablespoon mayonnaise
This one is super, super easy. Spread the mayonnaise evenly on both slices of bread. The bottom slice gets the cranberry sauce as well.
Top the bottom slice with turkey, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and the top slice of bread. Serve and enjoy!
