No self-respecting sports-centric crew, like us, could call ourselves foodies without providing a recipe for a stadium favorite that you can easily make at home! Here’s how to make the Pastrami Dog at Citi Field®. It’s a Nathan’s Famous all-beef hot dog topped with house-braised pastrami.
That’s it! It’s simple and divinely delicious. So, when you’re really craving a pastrami dog with no way to get to Citi Field®, here’s your gameplan.
Ingredients
1 Nathan’s hot dog
1 hot dog bun, standard size
2 ounces pastrami, diced
1 ounce yellow mustard
Raw jalapeño, sliced
Directions
Steam pastrami until it reaches an internal temperature of 155 degrees F (roughly 2–3 hours).
Boil hot dog until it reaches an internal temperature of 155 degrees F (roughly 5–7 minutes).
Once the pastrami is heated, dice into ¼-inch pieces.
When the hot dog is ready, place it in the bun. Top hot dog with 2 ounces of diced pastrami and garnish with yellow mustard and jalapeño. Enjoy!
