10 Mouthwatering BBQ Recipes to Make Today

Summer is here, temperatures are finally warming up, and things are finally getting back to normal! It's time to break out the grill!

Here are 10 barbecue recipes that you can make from the comfort of your backyard.

1. Sweet & Spicy Orange Glazed Ribs

Sweet & Spicy Orange Glazed Ribs

This recipe is just in time for July 4th! Note: If you don't have a smoker, you can always make these in an oven or even a slow cooker. And if you don't have tamarind on hand or can't get any, no worries! You can always just leave it out! (We've even tried subbing in a couple tablespoons of orange jam, and it worked just fine).

2. Barbecue Chicken Tacos

The beauty of barbecue is that you don't have to cook your food on the grill to achieve quality BBQ. This recipe calls for a stovetop and a skillet. The unmistakable barbecue flavor comes from our proprietary barbecue spice blend and other ingredients you've likely got sitting in your cabinets or pantry. And the fun comes from eating this dish with your hands because who's ever heard of eating tacos with a fork? Come on now!

3. BBQ Sauce

Memorial Day BBQ Sauce

One of the best things about this great country of ours is that as you travel around it, you'll discover so many different ways to make barbecue sauce and rubs. So many different flavors and textures! Sweet, tangy, vinegary, spicy, mayonnaisey... we've got dry rubs and some barbecue is wet and gooey. One of our favorite riffs on barbecue hails from South Carolina, whose sauce is tangy like its North Carolina cousin, but the tang mostly comes from mustard, rather than vinegar. Don't get us wrong, South Carolina BBQ still has vinegar, but it's sweeter and in our opinion, it's one of the best ways to serve BBQ anywhere.

4. Peanut Maple Bourbon Sweet & Savory Pork Ribs

Peanut Maple Bourbon Sweet & Savory Pork Ribs

Pretty much anything wrapped in bacon is good in our book. Chicken wings (our favorite game day dish) wrapped in bacon? It's almost too good to be true! This recipe is delicious for any carnivore out there—and it also happens to be very Keto-friendly, if that's your thing. (We did, in fact, come up with this recipe while experimenting with a Keto diet).

5. Slow-Cooked Brisket

Slow Cooked Brisket

Sometimes the best flavors take the longest to achieve, but gosh darn it are they worth it! Cooking a brisket—and we mean reaaaaallly cooking a brisket—means low and slow. It can take hours and hours, and it's worth it! Heck, one of the best briskets we've ever had smokes overnight for around 18 total hours! Take your time and your taste buds will thank you.

6. Asian-Inspired Barbecue Turkey Burger

Asian-Inspired Barbecue Turkey Burger

It's pretty hard to find an easier way to achieve the barbecue flavor. We basically did it for you with our Hungry Fan Barbecue Spice Blend. We basically managed to dehydrate all the ingredients into powder, mix them all together, and bag 'em for you to use at the first onset of a craving. In this recipe, we're simply mixing our blend with some mayonnaise (and making it sound fancy by calling it aioli). Like we said, it doesn't get much easier.

7. Memphis Style Ribs

Memphis Style Ribs

Memphis' barbecue style is pretty unique. While many places do sauce, Memphis does a dry rub. As implied by the word "rub," a tasty combination of seasonings literally gets rubbed into the protein to provide the quintessential Memphis barbecue flavor and texture. And in Memphis, there's nothing better to enjoy that dry rub on than a nice rack of ribs. We once had the best ribs just off Beale Street before heading into a club to watch B.B. King play. (May he rest in peace). What a great memory. What a great night!

8. BBQ Pulled Pork

BBQ Pulled Pork

If you've ever tried to make pulled pork, you know it takes a while of your pork slow cooking before it's pullable. But just the right amount of time in the slow cooker and it's falling off the bone and basically pulling itself. Once it's ready, you can eat it as is, on bread as a sandwich, or even put the pork on a tortilla for a southern riff on tacos al pastor! It doesn't matter how you serve it, BBQ pulled pork is downright delicious!

9. Texas BBQ Meatloaf

Texas BBQ Meatloaf

If you've ever lived in Texas, then you know H.E.B. It is the grocery store of Texas and in our experience, Texans swear by it. We once did a partnership with them that scored us a pretty handsome supply of their famous barbecue sauce. And hot dang is it tasty! It inspired this meatloaf recipe and arguably took meatloaf to a new level. Honorable mention for cheddar cheese and almighty bacon for gracing this recipe with additional amazeballs flavor!

10. St. Louis Style Ribs

St. Louis Style Ribs

St Louis has enough barbecue street cred to literally have its own cut of ribs named for it. What's the difference between theirs and, say, baby back ribs, you ask? Excellent question. St. Louis' are meatier and are flatter than baby backs, which makes them easier to cook to a beautiful brown. And they're got just the right amount of fat on 'em to ensure they're always scrumptiously flavorful. While we're pretty proud of our barbecue sauce recipe in this dish, it's really the ribs that stand out.
