We tend to find inspiration…pretty much anywhere…when it comes to drink making. This one comes from Mark Twain’s famous and controversial novel The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. (Email us at questions@hungryfan.com and we’ll tell you why). So without further ado, here we have the Country Life bottled cocktail. This recipe makes six cocktails.
Ingredients
6 ounces water
14 dashes orange bitters
5 ounces sweet port
5 ounces aged Jamaican rum
11 ounces Evan Williams Bourbon
Directions
Find an empty wine bottle and get a funnel.
Pour all of the ingredients into the bottle through the funnel.
Cap bottle and place in the fridge overnight.
Serve away in a coupe cocktail glass with an orange peel.
Recipe Note
Pro Tip:
Bottled cocktails are great for tailgating. No mess, easy to transport, and they look great. The average wine bottle is 750ml which roughly translates to 27 ounces of liquid inside. Hence our bottled cocktail recipes all add up to 27 ounces. #pro
