The person who first said “Love has no bounds” would not love a regular roasted pork loin—at least not after they’ve tasted this beautiful smoked hog. We surround this gorgeous piece of pork with some crispy and spicy fried shishitos. Some of us here at Hungry Fan would literally move mountains for 10 minutes alone with this dish. Just sayin’.
If you’ve been stuck with the same ol’ pork recipes for a while, you definitely need to give this meal a try. Serve it up at a dinner party or as the main dish at a family get together, and your guests will be begging for more of your cookin’.
Ingredients
2 pounds pork loin
½ cup yellow mustard
¼ cup honey
½ pouch Hungry Fan Barbecue Spice Blend
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
2 pounds shishito peppers
1–2 tablespoons canola oil
Directions
To Make the Pork
Rub the pork loin with mustard and honey. Then, sprinkle with the Barbecue Spice Blend, salt, and pepper.
Let sit for 15 minutes while you bring your smoker to 220 degrees F.
Smoke the pork for 3 hours*.
Let the pork rest for 10 minutes and then slice it in ½-inch rounds.
To Make the Shishito Peppers
Add the canola oil into a frying pan and bring up to heat over a medium/medium-high flame.
Add the peppers into the skillet and fry for 1 minute. Remove the peppers from the skillet.
Salt the peppers and serve alongside the pork loin slices. Enjoy!
