Here’s a super easy and fun America-themed dessert: a fruit and mascarpone tart. All it is is a graham cracker crust (you can make on your own using the recipe below or buy a premade crust) topped with mascarpone cheese, sugar, strawberries, and blueberries.
What you end up with is a patriotic treat that’s perfect for the 4th of July, the Olympics, or any other occasion. Super simple and super tasty. Sweet!
Ingredients
1 ½ cups Graham Crackers, finely ground
⅓ cup brown or Demerara sugar
6 tablespoons butter, melted (we like salted butter but you can use unsalted if you prefer)
½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1 cup mascarpone cheese
Strawberries, sliced in quarters, for decorating
Blueberries, for decorating
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Mix together the crackers, sugar, butter, and spices (if using) and press into a rectangular-shaped baking dish.
Bake for 7–8 minutes. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
Top with mascarpone cheese and fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries in the shape of Old Glory. Serve!
