Got some extra blackberries lying around? Okay, even if you don’t, this recipe is a winner, so go out and get pickin’! If you’re a rum fan, you won’t be sorry because we’re teaching you how to infuse rum with those delicious, delicate berries. And to top it all off, we’ve got a tasty cocktail for you to make with all that infused rum.
Make this your own signature cocktail when you’re entertaining friends for game day! They’ll go as wild for this drink as the crowd goes for a touchdown.
P.S. This recipe doesn’t really have anything to do with Barry, but we’d like to think that if he had it, he’d like it.
Ingredients
½ cup blackberries
16 ounces rum
2 ounces blackberry rum (see above)
Ice
Dash of lime juice
6 ounces iced tea
Lime wedge, for garnish
Infused Rum
Cocktail
Directions
To Infuse:
Place ½ cup blackberries in a 16-ounce ball jar.
Fill the jar with rum.
Seal the lid and store in a cool place (does not need to be refrigerated). 24 hours later, your alcohol will be infused.
To Prepare:
Combine infused rum, tea, lime juice, and ice in a pitcher.
Serve in a glass. Garnish with lime. Repeat recipe to serve more than one person.
