So, here’s our go-to game day barbecue sauce. Even though it’s a quick sauce, it’s a knockout to your taste buds. You can bet that all your friends and family will be dying to know how you whipped up such a great sauce so quickly.
Ingredients
16-ounce can of puréed tomatoes (boxed or jarred also works well)
1 cup rice wine vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup chili sauce
½ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 cup dehydrated onions
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon hot sauce
Directions
Combine the tomatoes, rice wine vinegar, and salt in a skillet or saucepan and cook over medium-low heat.Bring the sauce to a simmer, then let it continue to simmer for 15–20 minutes or until it has thickened slightly.
Add in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Lower heat to a simmer and cook for another 15 minutes. For a thicker sauce, let it simmer for longer until it reduces to your desired consistency.
Serve right away or place it into a sealed container for easy transport if needed. . You can safely store this in an air-tight container and refrigerate it. The sauce should stay fresh for up to five days.
